Hydrocodone

An opioid painkiller called hydrocodone is used to treat moderate to severe pain and to reduce coughing. It functions by changing how the nervous system and brain react to pain. For increased pain relief, hydrocodone is sometimes taken with other drugs, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, and the possibility of reliance or abuse with continued use are possible side effects.
